Three Day Telemark Camps

These intensive groups of 3, three hour clinics are designed for those motivated to become better telemark skiers, and learn how to have more fun on their equipment. Students will be grouped according to ability and skiing speed. Typically two instructors will be assigned to each group, and will split the group if necessary. Expert instruction and video analysis, combined with plenty of skiing, make this a popular program.

Cost: $339 per person ($40 discount for early registration)

Dates: Jan.14-16 (beginner and intermediate), Mar.16-18 (intermediate and advanced), Apr. 13-15 (intermediate and advanced)

Beginners should have prior alpine or cross country skiing experience, and be able to comfortably negotiate green runs on that equipment. It is recommended that those lacking this experience, snowboarders without skiing experience, for example, take a private lesson.

Intermediates should be able to comfortably ski groomed blue runs on telemark equipment using either parallel or telemark turns.

Advanced skiers should be able to make telemark turns on black runs and ski moderate ungroomed conditions comfortably.

Location: 3 day camps meet in front of the East entrance to the Panorama Gondola Building at the Main Lodge at 8:45 AM.

To sign up: Contact the Mammoth Ski & Snowboard School or call 1-800-Mammoth for information and reservations.
